TRC Inaugural Battle Rattle - November 16, 2019
Description: A physically demanding match testing the competitor’s level of fitness in conjunction with marksmanship ability while under stress. Competitors negotiate obstacles, carry objects of different size and weight, and then engage targets from 3 yards out to 600 yards while being physically and cognitively challenged. Stages include engagements with both rifle and pistol.
TRC Methodology: To design and implement an event that allows the athlete to test themselves and the equipment they already have. No special equipment is required to compete, other than a secure holster and rifle sling.
Divisions: Heavy and Light
Heavy – Body Armor or Chest Rig weighing a minimum of 20lbs dry (Not including ammo).
Light – Just guns and ammo (Carry your ammo as you see fit).
Firearms: Both divisions are Open. (Rifle and Pistol may run any optic.)
Rifle - Anything .308 and below. ( Must have a sling.)
Pistol - .45 and below
Round Count: Rifle 150 rds Pistol 150 rds.
Holsters: Must have retention that secures pistol while athlete is negotiating obstacles.
Optics: Run as many as you want, powered or not.
Magazine carriers: Recommended but not mandatory.
