TACTICAL FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR PISTOL AND CARBINE

This train-the-trainer course is designed to develop tactical firearms instructors who can return to their organizations as lead instructors and true subject matter experts. Students will increase their skill level and effectiveness with the carbine, pistol, and their ability to instruct others in the safe & proper use of both weapons. Students in the course will be expected to conduct “Teach Backs” of learned material to TRC’s instructors and fellow students.

This course provides trainers with the skills needed to safely and effectively lead live-fire and force-on-force shoot house training when they return to their organizations. Course attendees will receive instruction in safety inspections, personnel positioning, target placement, entry methods, TRC’s training methodology, and the skills needed to build a shoot house program and improve their agency or unit’s training program. Course attendees will serve in the role of shoot house instructor and safety during the course. This is not a close quarters battle or room-clearing course.

Students in the course will be expected to conduct “Teach Backs” of learned material to TRC’s instructors and fellow students. Students must successfully pass practical and written exams to receive an Instructor Certificate.

Tactical Medical Training (Law Enforcement)

This course is designed to train law enforcement professionals on how to deal with emergency medical situations that may occur on duty while awaiting medical personnel. The course covers the basics of trauma management, treatment until EMS arrives, and what to do if EMS is delayed. We will discuss crisis mindset, tactical considerations, and somebasic anatomy and physiology.

This course is for the experienced pistol and carbine shooter who desires to learn a variety of tactical applications involving both firearms. The course may include a brief portion of classroom instruction on firearm safety, firearm operation, and the cognitive aspects of marksmanship. The remaining hours will consist of a variety of increasingly challenging drills and events.

Low Signature Operations, Hostile Surveillance Detection, and Countermeasures

This course is for military and other government personnel working out of an embassy, consulate, or other satellite overseas location that are required to travel discreetly by foot or vehicle either individually or in small groups.  Classroom training is followed by practical exercises in a variety of urban settings, featuring a realistic, dynamic environment with a large number of full-time, trained role-players to replicate the “real world” problems encountered during surveillance missions and surveillance detection operations.

This course is for military and other government agency personnel working out of an embassy, consulate, or other satellite overseas location that are required to travel discreetly by foot or vehicle either individually or in small groups and are required or elect to doso under arms. The course combines extreme close quarters combatives (ECQC) training with tactical pistol and carbine employment in a low signature environment.

Using tactics developed from what Military Tier One/Spec Ops and SWAT/ERT/SRT teams consistently experience during operations, the TRC Basic SWAT Course will give an officer new to a tactical team a working understanding of the core skills relating to close quarters battle (CQB) techniques, surgical marksmanship. and operator mindset. The course will teach officers the critical firearms skills needed to successfully be a SWAT operator.

Active Shooter Response (Rapid Deployment)

Law enforcement professionals across the nation are acknowledging the need for a change in policy, protocol, speed of deployment, and tactics to save lives. This course is designed to train first responders to effectively respond to and stop an active shooter incident. It includes a combination of classroom instruction, range fire, and scenario-based training using real-world After Action Reports (AAR) as the resource for the force-on-force training.

This course is designed to teach/reinforce the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) needed when operating in a high-threat or combat environment as a singleton or in small teams. Students will enhance their basic skills to shoot, move, communicate, and medicate. Battle drills focus on marksmanship and movement at the individual, two-man, and team level.

This course is designed specifically for civil affairs, military information support operations/PSYOPS, and special operations teams deploying to a United States Embassy.  Students learn how to prepare and write DOS/DOD appropriate documents demonstrating brevity, clarity of thought, and purpose. Students will also understand the leadership structure and culture of an AOR-specific embassy, how the worldview & vernacular of foreign service officers critically differs from that of the military, and how to successfully deliver a targeted, strategic message with confidence & credibility to a wide spectrum of audiences.
