TRC MATCHES

TRC is proud to host several types of shooting matches at The Range Complex. These matches allow individuals to evaluate their skills, equipment and approach to problem solving.

Along with simply being fun and allowing people to build comradery with like-minded individuals, matches also allow shooters to diagnose where their training needs to improve by determining at what level of unconscious competence their shooting and weapons manipulations skills reside.

The Range Complex offers several monthly matches as well as other specialty matches scheduled less frequently.  Our match schedule can be accessed through our Practiscore page and all registration and payment is through Practiscore as well.

United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Match

Scheduled monthly on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

USPSA is a practical pistol/pistol caliber carbine (PCC) competition that uses HIT FACTOR scoring. Often incorrectly referred to as “IPSC”, USPSA has slightly different rules, but is the United States affiliate of the International Shooting Confederation (IPSC). .

These matches are USPSA sanctioned and involve shooting, movement, and weapons manipulations under the stress of time and others watching.

New shooters are welcomed, and we encourage you to come as a new shooter and we will ensure you are matched up with experienced match shooters to enjoy your experience.

All that is needed is eye and ear protection, a service pistol of at least 9mm, a belt, holster, magazine pouches and enough magazines for 32 rounds maximum.

Numerous divisions exist, allowing for iron sights, electronic sights, compensators, etc, If  you have more questions during signup, email or contact TRC.

trc two gun match

Scheduled monthly on the 3rd Saturday, the 2 Gun match is a rifle/pistol match.

Format is similar to the USPSA match but incorporates both weapons systems.

Scoring is HIT FACTOR, the same type of scoring used in IPSC/USPSA.

There are 3 different divisions available to shooters, based on the equipment used. A detailed explanation of the equipment allowed in each division is included on the signup link on Practiscore

If both of a shooter’s firearms don’t conform to a single division they will be placed in the division that is appropriate for their most-modified firearm, whether carbine or pistol.

Trc friday night lights match

Scheduled monthly on the Friday night BEFORE the TRC 2 Gun Match

TRC’s Friday Night Lights Match is the same format as the 2 Gun with a few exceptions.

The  match uses Time Plus (Points) Scoring, commonly referred to as “3-gun scoring” as opposed to HIT FACTOR in order to speed up reset time.

This match has 2 divisions available, which are explained in detail on the Practiscore sign up page

This match is HELD DURING THE HOURS OF DARKNESS and shooters are only allowed to use handheld or weapon mounted white lights to illuminate targets!! No Night Vision (NV) or thermal imagery is allowed!

trc night vision match

Scheduled monthly on the 3rd Saturday night of the month.

TRC’s Night Vision Match is the same format as the Friday Night Lights Match with 1 major exception.

Only 1 division is available and that division is NV/thermal allowed; no white light can be used!

trn's nrl 22 match

Scheduled monthly as ranges allow.

NRL22 is a division of the National Rifle League and is a practical format match (i.e. shooting against time).

These matches are designed to allow shooters to use the principles of long-range shooting in a reduced range footprint

This is accomplished using .22 LR rimfire or air guns ONLY.

Multiple divisions exist to allow competitors of varying age, gender, and type of equipment to participate on an even playing field.
